2013 Forms Changes
Each year, the IAR attorneys work with a group of real estate professionals from all over Indiana to review the statewide forms for necessary changes due to new laws, court decisions and member suggestions. In this video, Richelle Cohen Mossler details the forms changes that went into effect for 2013. And, Kelly Shonborn answers some frequently asked questions via the Legal Hotline here. Please remember, the Legal Hotline (1-800-444-5472) is available to assist principal or managing brokers and their designated agents between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

2013 Professional Standards Changes
2013 marks the 100th year members of the National Association of Realtors® have subscribed to a strict Code of Ethics. When NAR adopted its Code of Ethics in 1913, it was only the second trade or business group in the U.S. to adopt mandatory ethical standards. The Code identifies professional responsibilities owed to clients, customers, other REALTORS® and the general public. Though the real estate industry itself has evolved over the past century, these core values and commitment to excellence have remained constant. This month, Richelle Cohen Mossler, IAR General Counsel, highlights 2013 changes to both the Code of Ethics and the Code of Ethics manual.

Violation Station: Could It Happen to You?
What happens to me if I violate Indiana license law? Violation Station is published quarterly to help REALTORS® better understand what types of violations are heard by the Real Estate Commission and the punishments that are handed out.
IAR's Senior Staff Counsel, Kelly Shonborn, Esq., reviews examples of sanctions handed down by the Commission in the 4th quarter of 2012.
