First Quarter Home Prices and Sales Better Than 2012
The first quarter has proved member optimism for 2013 true. Statewide, when comparing the first quarter to the same period of 2012, the number of closed home sales increased 17.9 percent to 14,700. The median sale price of those homes increased 4.2 percent to $110,000; the average sale price increased 4.4 percent to $132,199. 2013 General Assembly Session Nearing an End –
REALTOR® Voice Heard Loud and Clear at the Statehouse

The final day for bills to be enacted is April 29th, but leaders in both the House and Senate have publicly stated their intent to end the 2013 session earlier – perhaps yet this week. On Friday, IAR lobbyists provided this summary of bills they and member leaders have been working on. RPAC Fundraising Totals for March
Thank you to all those who contributed to RPAC in March.  One-hundred (100%) percent of your contribution is used to elect pro-REALTOR® candidates, regardless of political party.  Seventy percent (70%) remains in Indiana to be used in state and local elections.  Thirty percent (30%) is forwarded to the National RPAC to fund key U.S. House and Senate races. RECP Urges Salespersons to Beat the Rush –

Q: I'm new to real estate and wondering what education is required to obtain a license?

A: There are two courses required to obtain the required real estate broker license.  An unlicensed person needs to take a 54-hour prelicense salesperson course and pass a state exam to obtain a real estate salesperson license.  Then, a licensed salesperson must take and pass a 24-hour broker transition course before July 1, 2014 to become a licensed real estate broker.
