DAR FORMS UPDATED

The DAR Forms PAG has been working on revising the Sales Agreement, Listing Agreement and Unimproved Land Agreement.  The updated forms are now available on our website Clcik Here in a PDF fillable format. You will also find the redline versions so you will know what has been changed. Please start preparing to use these updated forms.

There are several changes and we plan on have upcoming classes (Module 3) to educate the membership on the changes. More info on classes to follow next week.

Commercial Lien becomes Law!  This Act shall apply to any written Brokerage Agreement becoming effective on a date that is at least 90 days after this Act becomes law, but not to any Brokerage Agreement that has become effective prior to that date unless by written agreement of the parties to that Brokerage Agreement. The Governor signed this legislation on May 3. Click HERE to read HB 29.

Q&A on Realtor.com® Changes  
Address your members' concerns: Review and share these answers to some of the questions that have been swirling around since the July 24 realtor.com® vote. At a special meeting in Chicago, the NAR board of directors recommended changes to the agreement that governs the operation of realtor.com®. Specifically, directors recommended adding content to www.realtor.com and its mobile apps in order to enrich the consumer experience and make realtor.com® more competitive in the online listing space. In this Q&A, NAR answers many of the questions that have arisen. The association will continue monitoring the discussion and adding to the Q&A as answers become available.

Survey: Owning Remains Renter Priority
Americans overwhelmingly believe owning a home is a good financial decision and a majority of renters say homeownership is one of their highest priorities for the future, according to findings in NAR's  2013 National Housing Pulse Survey. Real Estate Giant Endorses RPR®
Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC has launched an internal campaign to its franchise network endorsing the benefits of the Realtors Property Resource® (RPR) and encouraging immediate adoption of the system. The company also announced that all of its franchised companies supported by RPR-participating MLS's now have access to customized reports, branded with the company logo and name. More.

NAR Letter Supports FHA Reform Approach
Legislation to help FHA shore up its financial strength while maintaining its mission to make safe financing available to households that need it received a show of support from NAR in a letter the association submitted to the Senate Banking Committee, which held a hearing last week on the bill, called the "FHA Solvency Act of 2013," S. 1376. NAR Outlines Opposition to PATH Act
NAR Government Affairs analysts in a 6-minute video explain REALTORS®' concerns with legislation to phase out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac without replacing them with a federal backstop and to restrict the availability of FHA financing based on income. The "Protecting America's Taxpayers and Homeowners (PATH) Act" passed the House Financial Services Committee two weeks ago and could come up for a House floor vote this fall. FEMA Video Explains Flood Insurance Changes
Your members can get a better understanding of changes to the federal flood insurance program, including the phase-out of insurance premium subsidies for some home owners in flood zones, in a video produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which provides federal flood insurance.
