OR REALTORS Meeting with Sen. Merkley

REALTORS® Represent in Washington

Over 70 Oregon REALTORS® represented our State in Washington DC last week for the NAR REALTOR® Party Convention & Trade Expo (formerly Mid-Year Meetings). Most importantly, they were on hand to lobby our legislators on behalf of the industry as seen by this group pictured with Senator Merkley.

Also of note was the near unanimous passage by the NAR Board of Directors of the Presidential Advisory Group recommendation for new core organizational standards for all associations throughout the organization. This move towards greater professionalism will safeguard the viability of our organization into the future and ensure that all members will receive the same standards of service with their REALTOR® membership. Read More »

OAR and President Amy Graham are committed to utilizing all the resources NAR can offer to facilitate this transition. To begin, a statewide task force is being assembled to quickly identify ways to best implement the new standards so OAR can help our local associations and continue to keep them strong for the benefit of all members.

The buyer is proving to be very difficult to work with and we believe is putting us at risk. Does a Principal Broker have the right to drop a client midway through a transaction? Read Answer »
