1. Attorney General Bill Schuette Discusses Industry Issues with Realtors®
On Monday, Attorney General Bill Schuette visited with members of the Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® (GKAR). Schuette was traveling in southwest Michigan and scheduled time to visit with Realtor® members. The Michigan Realtors® Public Policy staff has always appreciated Schuette’s willingness to work on industry issues. He has been instrumental in the fight to protect the victims of mortgage fraud, prosecuting those who exploited Michigan citizens in the foreclosure process.

3. 2015 District Director Elections - Remember to Vote
Did you vote? Realtors® (based on home address) in Congressional districts 1, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 14 have the opportunity to vote for their director, who will serve as a representative on the Michigan Realtors® board of directors. Voting closes October 2nd, 2014. View candidates and vote online.
4. .REALTOR Domain Name Launch for Members Begins October 23rd!
Starting 10.23.14, members will be able to go to www.claim.REALTOR. Only members of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Canadian Real Estate Association can call themselves Realtors®. And only Realtors® are allowed to use the new .REALTOR domain. The first 500,000 NAR and 10,000 CREA members will be able to claim their first domain FREE for one year.
