Refund Policy
Thank you for your contribution to South Carolina RPAC. RPAC Contributions, either state or federal, are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal or state income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary. Refusal to contribute does not affect membership rights. 70% of each contribution is used by South Carolina RPAC to support state and local political candidates. 30% of your contribution is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a.
Making a Contribution
The amounts indicated are merely guidelines and you may contribute more or less than the suggested amounts. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS® or the South Carolina Association of REALTORS® or any local boards within South Carolina will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount you elect to contribute or if you do not contribute.
Please double-check your profile information and ensure you are the member in the information contained within any auto-populated fields. Once you have filled in all your contribution information, click Submit to continue the process. Transmission of your SC RRPAC contribution and credit card information may take a few minutes. Please do not click on the Submit button more than once.
Your contribution to South Carolina RPAC will appear as SCR RPAC on your credit card statement.
Requesting a Refund or Credit
We do not refund political contributions; however, we will always consider your requests to have a refund made. The National Association of REALTORS® and the South Carolina Association of REALTORS® are required by law to report your contribution to South Carolina RPAC and there are state and federal guidelines on time limits for reporting your contribution. Refunds made past the reporting window require us to refile an amended report noting the refund. We appreciate your understanding of the legal rules and regulations we must follow regarding the acceptance, reporting and refunding of South Carolina RPAC contributions.
